Our Ships
Van der Rest Sail Charter have two ships, a third one is at the planning stage. The Loth Loriën and the J. R. Tolkien sail under a Dutch flag, like their owner and captain Jaap van der Rest. Amsterdam is the homeport of the two sister ships. But you’ll find them, unless they are away at sea, in Kiel harbour, the basis of Van der Rest Sail Charter.
Loth Loriën
The Loth Loriën is a modern three-masted barkentine, 48 metres in length. Sails in the wind, a sun deck and a Jacuzzi in the open air – best prospects for an amusing and relaxing cruise. Up to 90 passengers can sail on board the Loth Loriën into an unforgettable day. For weekends and longer cruises, our ship has room for 36 passengers in luxurious cabins.
